About the position

The Software Quality Assurance Test Architect at Acentra plays a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the SQA team. This position involves leading the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced testing strategies and frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery. The architect will collaborate with various teams to define and execute testing processes that align with business objectives, while also contributing to RFP responses and showcasing the value of solutions to clients.

Responsibilities

• Define and establish comprehensive test strategies, including automation, performance, and security testing.
• Architect and implement scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks that integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
• Evaluate, select, and implement industry-leading testing tools and methodologies.
• Mentor test engineers to ensure best practices are followed and automation processes are optimized.
• Lead initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and improve quality metrics.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and SQA teams to ensure alignment on testing strategies.
• Design and implement performance and security testing frameworks.
• Define, monitor, and report on key quality metrics.
• Participate in design and architectural discussions to include testing considerations early in the development process.
• Collaborate with business development teams to craft testing strategies for RFPs.
• Develop customized test strategies during the proposal phase.
• Lead technical presentations to prospective clients.
• Implement risk-based testing approaches and perform Root Cause Analysis on defects.
• Stay updated on trends in test architecture and continuously improve test frameworks.
• Lead transformation and change management initiatives within the SQA organization.
• Adhere to CMMI standards and represent the SQA organization in evaluations.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the SQA team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of Software Quality Assurance experience, including 4 to 5 years in a Test Architect or Lead Test Engineer role.
• Expertise in designing and implementing test automation frameworks using technologies such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Proficiency in software quality assurance tools like Atlassian Jira, Jenkins, HP Quality Center, and Confluence.
• Working knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring teams.
• Demonstrated experience in client management and solid communication skills.
• Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Software Quality Assurance life cycle (STLC).
• Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry.
