About the position

We have an immediate need for a contract Software Quality Assurance Test Lead to join a premier distributor of automotive oils, chemicals, and consumable products. The Software Quality Assurance Test Lead will be responsible for defining and executing the overall test strategy, test scenarios, and test cases necessary to successfully launch the organization’s new eCommerce redesign. This role is crucial in ensuring that the new eCommerce platform meets the highest quality standards before it goes live. The Software Quality Assurance Test Lead will collaborate closely with the organization’s third-party implementation vendor to ensure a smooth launch of the new eCommerce design. This includes defining and documenting a comprehensive test strategy and plan that outlines the testing process, objectives, and scope. The lead will also be responsible for creating relevant test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts that will guide the testing process. In addition to defining the testing framework, the Test Lead will coordinate the execution of test scenarios, which includes performing test scripts and tracking the progress of testing phases. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively communicate test strategies, plans, and ongoing activities to a broad set of stakeholders. The Test Lead will also be responsible for creating test script issues, communicating them to the appropriate owners, and tracking relevant KPIs throughout the testing phases.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall test strategy, test scenarios, and test cases necessary to successfully launch the organization’s new eCommerce redesign.
• Collaborate with the organization’s third-party implementation vendor to launch the new eCommerce design.
• Define and document a comprehensive test strategy and plan.
• Define and document relevant test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
• Coordinate the execution of test scenarios, including responsibilities for performing test scripts.
• Create test script issues, communicate to appropriate owners, and track relevant KPIs through testing phases.

Requirements

• Strong software testing experience, with prior responsibilities in building test strategies and test plans that incorporate both 3rd party implementers and internal testing resources.
• Strong test scenario and test execution experience, able to create documented test scenarios and associated scripts, ensuring traceability of testing to scope.
• Must have Agile experience and be familiar with user stories, schedules, and unit testing.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to navigate a broad set of stakeholders and clearly communicate the test strategy, plan, and ongoing test activities.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience with Jira Xray Test Management suite.
• Prior eCommerce testing experience, especially on a Salesforce platform.
• Prior experience managing user acceptance testing phase, including definition, execution management, and reporting on UAT test status.
