About the position

The QA Software Tester at iFIT will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software releases. This position involves creating and executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying problems and will contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Create test cases based on requirements and design specifications to ensure comprehensive and measurable test coverage
  • Actively run test cases, identify defects, and document test results for analysis and interpretation
  • Clearly document and report identified defects, providing necessary details for developers to understand and address issues
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality
  • Continuously learn by staying up to date on industry trends, testing tools, and best practices to enhance skills and contribute to process improvement
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements and priorities
  • Test moderately complex features of new software releases using predefined test runs
  • Create and execute test cases, test runs, and test plans
  • Write bugs/defects in a manner that results in resolution
  • Document test results and follow through to a resolution
  • Work with developers to resolve and debug issues
  • Conduct regression, black box, smoke, and interface testing
  • Identify, isolate, and communicate bugs effectively and efficiently
  • Understand software testing and complete job requirements with little supervision
  • Proactively identify problems with requirements and communicate these issues early to help course-correct
  • Mentor other testers through reviewing their communication and work

Requirements

  • Experience in software testing and quality assurance
  • Ability to create and execute test cases and test plans
  • Strong documentation skills for test results and defect reporting
  • Familiarity with regression, black box, smoke, and interface testing
  • Proactive problem identification and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Mentoring experience or willingness to mentor other testers

  • Familiarity with automated testing tools
