About the position

This position will be responsible for basic support and working with the engineering team to understand requirements and develop and execute test plans for new software enhancements. The role involves managing and executing the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLS), which includes requirements analysis, test planning, test case development, environmental setup, test execution, and test cycle closure. The candidate will create test cases, scenarios, and plans based on the requirements of the enhancement and execute all test plans to ensure that the newly developed software complies with the requirements and is stable for production release. Additionally, the role requires performing Regression, Functional, Performance, Usability, and User Acceptance testing based on documented requirements, documenting and tracking defects, and working with the Product Manager to ensure items are addressed and retested. The candidate will also participate in Sprint Planning and Story Pointing exercises, thoroughly document all test plans and outcomes in JIRA, troubleshoot software bugs, assist users with support tickets, create training documentation on new releases, maintain an understanding of new testing strategies and best practices, and compile and distribute a weekly IT report containing accomplishments.

Requirements

  • Highly organized and great attention to detail
  • Experience testing software in an agile environment
  • 1-2 years of experience with technical troubleshooting, customer support, or account management
  • BA/BS or combination of industry certifications and equivalent related work experience of 2 years or more
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a fast-paced environment, and the ability to prioritize and complete tasks
  • Ability to think critically to analyze issues and propose solutions
  • Work well in a team environment; willingness to collaborate to find optimal business solutions
  • Intermediate experience writing SQL queries preferred
