About the position
The Mobile Apps team at Apple is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure the quality of mobile e-commerce and retail applications used by millions of customers. This role involves driving testing and coordination of QA efforts, working closely with various teams across Apple to enhance the software experience for users. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality applications.
Responsibilities
- Understand and analyze requirements for mobile applications.
- Create and execute test plans and test cases.
- Provide clear and concise information to Engineering teams based on testing results.
- Interact daily with cross-functional teams including iOS software and hardware engineering, Apple Online Store, and Apple Retail.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues systematically to assess project quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software testing.
- Deep understanding of software QA methodologies and practices.
- Skilled at debugging and troubleshooting with analytical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of Client/Server Architecture and mobile e-Commerce domain.
- Experience with test automation frameworks.
- MS/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in iOS Mobile Application testing.
- Ability to balance multiple efforts and meet strict deadlines.
- Proven ability to own quality for a complete functional area of an application or product.
