About the position

Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis, Inc. is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to support a major Department of Defense (DoD) program. This entry-level position involves ensuring compliance with quality standards and processes, monitoring corrective actions, and reporting on quality activities. The role is integral to maintaining high-quality software development and testing practices within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify non-compliance issues and monitor the corrective action plan to completion
  • Provide schedule status on quality activities
  • Report monthly QA Status to relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate and conduct scheduled and unscheduled audits
  • Participate in peer reviews, milestone phase reviews and weekly meetings
  • Monitor all processes for compliance with Division quality status
  • Work with team members on program to ensure quality at every phase of program

Requirements

  • US Citizenship required
  • Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one
  • Bachelor's in engineering, Computer Science, or minimum 3 years or more of related experience
  • Experience in software quality assurance in a DOD environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Tech-savvy and willingness to learn new technology and tools
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with quality standards, such as ISO 9001:2015, and models, such as Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience with DevSecOps (ISO/IEC/IEEE 32675:2022 and DOD DevSecOps Playbook)
  • Experience with AzureDevOps (ADO) tool
  • Experience with software development, testing and writing software documentation
