About the position
Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis, Inc. is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to support a major Department of Defense (DoD) program. This entry-level position involves ensuring compliance with quality standards and processes, monitoring corrective actions, and reporting on quality activities. The role is integral to maintaining high-quality software development and testing practices within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify non-compliance issues and monitor the corrective action plan to completion
- Provide schedule status on quality activities
- Report monthly QA Status to relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate and conduct scheduled and unscheduled audits
- Participate in peer reviews, milestone phase reviews and weekly meetings
- Monitor all processes for compliance with Division quality status
- Work with team members on program to ensure quality at every phase of program
Requirements
- US Citizenship required
- Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one
- Bachelor's in engineering, Computer Science, or minimum 3 years or more of related experience
- Experience in software quality assurance in a DOD environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Tech-savvy and willingness to learn new technology and tools
- Excellent communication skills
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with quality standards, such as ISO 9001:2015, and models, such as Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience with DevSecOps (ISO/IEC/IEEE 32675:2022 and DOD DevSecOps Playbook)
- Experience with AzureDevOps (ADO) tool
- Experience with software development, testing and writing software documentation
