About The Position
The Software Research and Development Engineer will join the Intelligent Sensor Technology Department at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University. This role focuses on researching and developing innovative solutions to complex scientific and engineering challenges, particularly in support of the Navy, Department of Defense (DoD), and Intelligence Community (IC). The engineer will develop both front and back-end software for decision-making applications related to sensor data fusion and automated data management, collaborating with scientists and engineers to create prototype capabilities for demonstration and transition to DoD use.
