About the position

The Software Solutions Architect will lead and manage the design, implementation, and delivery of system and software architecture designs, strategies, and quality assurance plans. This role requires an experienced expert who can deliver solutions using various architectural styles and methodologies, while also engaging with internal organizations to maximize delivery capabilities and provide value to clients.

Responsibilities

• Write high level functional requirement documents.
• Work in Linux Operating Systems.
• Develop scripts in PowerShell.
• Work in Git and GitHub for repositories.
• Work closely with Database Administrators to develop and execute SQL scripts.
• Create monthly reports for MDM applications.
• Work with clients for task and ticket resolutions in MPI and MIDSP.
• Create and deploy certificates on Windows and Linux systems.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure teams for maintenance and issue resolution.
• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC) including gathering requirements and writing specifications.
• Develop prototypes and mockups for user review and approval.
• Create flowcharts, screen layouts, and documentation for system requirements.
• Assist with Enterprise Architecture Solution Assessment (EASA), Hosting document, and Firewall Rules.
• Design, develop, and implement test plans and reports for applications or subsystems.
• Create or collect test data and execute approved tests to determine program logic accuracy.
• Assist with UAT Testing, Test cases, and Post Implementation testing.
• Provide defect and incident tracking information.
• Assist with implementation of Request for Change (RFC).
• Maintain/update system documentation due to upgrades.
• Monitor applications in production and non-production environments.
• Provide application support for business client applications.
• Deliver products and services based on core software development concepts.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Software development experience for Enterprise Systems.
• 8+ years of Java, J2EE, JSP, PL/SQL programming for application projects.
• 5+ years of experience as a WebSphere Application Server Administrator.
• 5+ years of experience with Unix/Linux Operating Systems.
• Experience with installation and configuration of open source Kafka and Zookeepers.
• Experience with setup of ELK.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud technologies and services.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
