About the position

The Software Solutions Architect at Parsons is responsible for driving the technical vision for high-profile, enterprise-scale opportunities within the Space Operations team. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to develop innovative software solutions that address mission needs, particularly in the areas of cloud engineering, DevSecOps, and software engineering. The architect will leverage their expertise to create comprehensive solutions that enhance national security and support the company's growth strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to gather goals and objectives, identify gaps, and develop differentiated solutions that solve mission needs.
  • Support enterprise-wide growth strategies and initiatives aimed at differentiation of services and delivery, increased competitiveness, and industry thought leadership.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers and industry partners to understand mission needs and articulate capabilities.
  • Research and understand technology trends, particularly in agile software development, cloud technologies, and CI/CD.
  • Develop technical content for proposals, white papers, and related materials in support of government solicitations and conferences.
  • Represent Parsons at conferences, industry days, and meetings with customers and industry partners.
  • Perform product and capability demonstrations for customers and industry partners as needed.
  • Provide technical inputs and mission perspective to inform corporate strategy and investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in software development and architecture.
  • Experience with Agile software development, DevSecOps, containers, cloud migration, and cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native and microservice architecture concepts and principles.
  • Ability to innovate and provide thought leadership in software systems and architectures.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to represent the company favorably and negotiate with key members of other firms.
  • US Person with ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated experience with solutioning and proposal development for government solicitations in enterprise software systems, cloud architectures, and systems integration.
  • Experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, NiFi, Hadoop, AWS/C2S, Microsoft Azure.
  • Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
