About the position

The Software Solutions Architect at Advancial is responsible for architecting software solutions, creating designs and documentation for the development team, and implementing third-party APIs for member-facing systems. This role requires a deep understanding of software development, particularly within the Microsoft Stack, and involves analyzing stakeholder requirements, designing scalable and secure solutions, and mentoring other programmers. The architect will also ensure that design specifications are practical and actionable, while fostering positive relationships within the organization and with external partners.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and qualify stakeholder requirements for software solutions.
• Architect solutions and create designs and documentation for member-facing systems.
• Implement third-party APIs and manage API functionality for projects.
• Design and build API result-logging and webhook automation.
• Recommend optimum technologies, platforms, and web services for required results.
• Encode new and modify existing systems using various programming languages.
• Investigate program errors, debug programs, and implement changes.
• Guide and mentor other programmers as needed.
• Create workflow illustrations for clarity and visualization.
• Present and defend architectural and design choices to stakeholders.
• Ensure design specifications are practical for the development team.
• Cultivate an understanding of business processes and dependencies.
• Expand skill set by investigating new programming tools and languages.
• Provide system support services on-site and via telephone during working hours.
• Foster a positive culture and maintain relationships with branches and departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Seven years of related experience in software development.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL) and MS Visual Studio (C#).
• Proficiency in MVC/.Net Core, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, XML, JSON, Javascript, Web Services, SOAP and/or RESTful APIs, Postman.
• Ability to translate concepts into flowcharts and workflow diagrams.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and understanding of state and federal laws.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Ajax, Angular, Bootstrap, and XSLT.
