Noblis is seeking Software Solution Engineers to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Systems and Surveillance Services directorates within the Program Management Organization (PMO). Employees will provide full software development lifecycle services spanning the design, development, test, and deployment of innovative software solutions with a strong emphasis on user experience, human factors, and software quality to enhance FAA operations. This role is crucial in contributing to projects that streamline the acquisition and deployment of next-generation air traffic management and surveillance systems, improve infrastructure at airports and in the airspace, and support the integration of unmanned aircraft systems and commercial space ventures. Your work will directly influence the FAA's ability to adapt to future growth and technological shifts, ensuring the aerospace system remains the safest and most efficient worldwide. As part of our dynamic team, your contributions will not only advance the aviation industry but also contribute to a safer, more sustainable future in air travel. You will be involved in designing, developing, testing, and deploying computer software solutions, conducting feasibility analysis, problem definition, requirements development, and solution development. You will document and demonstrate solutions by creating documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code. Additionally, you will prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming, while improving operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures. The position requires applying Agile Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies to ensure efficient and iterative development processes, designing and developing solutions to be hosted in the cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure), and utilizing database solutions such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Oracle. Emphasizing user experience and human factors in the software design process is essential to ensure the solutions are intuitive, user-friendly, and compliant with Section 508 accessibility requirements.
