About the position

Fisher's Technology is seeking an experienced Software Solutions Engineer to join the Document Automation team. This role involves working closely with customers to discover, implement, and support enterprise content management (ECM) and capture software. The engineer will ensure that the software is effectively utilized to meet business needs by creating and maintaining efficient workflows and document processes.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and maintain off-the-shelf software application solutions.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for end-users, including vendor escalation.
  • Collaborate with customers to analyze existing business processes and streamline workflows.
  • Manage document and data integrations between software and line of business applications.
  • Update software and apply patches to maintain security and optimal performance.
  • Train end-users on effective use of software applications and best practices.
  • Execute data and document migrations from legacy applications to modern platforms.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Work to increase industry knowledge through daily responsibilities and available resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred, but not required.
  • 4+ years system administration experience with ECM software platforms, ideally Laserfiche, ABBYY, Kofax / Tungsten Automation, Upland PlanetPress, etc.
  • Preferred certifications: AIIM CIP, CompTIA Data+, Laserfiche or similar certification(s).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
  • Familiarity with related components including servers, networks and scanners preferred.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database management concepts preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proven track record of successful software implementations.
