About the position
The Software Systems Engineering Manager will play a crucial role in transitioning a company from clinical development to commercial launch of innovative cancer surgery technology. This position involves hands-on management of software development, ensuring compliance with medical device regulations, and leading a team to enhance the software that supports the device's functionality.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the software engineering team in developing software for medical devices.
- Ensure compliance with IEC62304 regulations in software development processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware components.
- Oversee the transition from clinical development to commercial launch of the product.
- Utilize C++ and Windows in daily software development tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software engineering, particularly with C++ and Windows.
- Experience in managing software development for medical devices.
- Familiarity with IEC62304 regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to grow and mentor a team.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with FDA approval processes for medical devices.
- Knowledge of real-time systems and embedded software development.
