About the position

The Software Systems Engineering Manager will play a crucial role in transitioning a company from clinical development to commercial launch of innovative cancer surgery technology. This position involves hands-on management of software development, ensuring compliance with medical device regulations, and leading a team to enhance the software that supports the device's functionality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the software engineering team in developing and enhancing software for medical devices.
• Ensure compliance with IEC62304 regulations in software development processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware components.
• Manage the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software engineering, particularly with C++ and Windows environments.
• Experience in managing software development for medical devices.
• Strong understanding of IEC62304 regulations and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and grow a software engineering team.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with real-time systems and embedded software development.
• Familiarity with FDA approval processes for medical devices.
• Knowledge of cancer surgery technologies and related software applications.
