We're revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology. Our Diabetes division in Alameda, CA, currently has an opportunity for a Software V&V Test Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for completing software testing and activities in conjunction with user stories within the Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process. You will review System Specifications and Requirements documents, user stories, and create verification test cases based on those requirements, executing those test cases to ensure high-quality software releases. You will perform exploratory testing, system-level end-to-end testing, develop test datasets, and execute automation scripts. Investigating and reporting unexpected events, issues, or software bugs will be a key part of your responsibilities, as well as verifying fixes. Additionally, you will create verification and validation test plans, test reports, and trace matrices, reviewing these with relevant stakeholders including development and quality teams. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative diabetes management solutions that can significantly improve the quality of life for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Complete software testing and activities in conjunction for user stories within the Agile SDLC process
  • Review System Specifications/Requirements documents, user stories and create verification test cases based on those requirements
  • Execute test cases to ensure application software releases are of high quality
  • Perform exploratory testing and system level end to end testing
  • Develop test datasets and execute automation scripts
  • Investigate and report unexpected events, issues or software bugs
  • Verify fixes for reported issues
  • Create verification and validation test plans, test reports, and trace matrices
  • Review test plans and reports with relevant stakeholders (development and quality teams)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline
  • 2 years' experience in Software Testing and/or Software Quality Assurance including coursework
  • Experience testing mobile applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Medical Device experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in an agile development environment preferred
  • Experience with embedded systems and integration testing with external systems preferred
  • Cyber security, medical mobile applications or cloud computing experience preferred
