About the position

The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for testing and automating software solutions in the healthcare informatics and patient monitoring domain. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in HL7/FHIR medical device interfacing and embedded systems testing. The engineer will work within a fast-paced team to ensure the quality and functionality of medical devices, utilizing the latest automation tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop functional test suites for healthcare informatics and patient monitoring solutions.
  • Test embedded medical devices and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot software defects.
  • Utilize automation tools to enhance testing processes and efficiency.
  • Engage in API and microservices testing, particularly in distributed healthcare applications.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of HL7/FHIR standards for healthcare interoperability.
  • Solid experience in automation or software development using C#.
  • Practical experience with embedded systems testing in medical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of network layers, protocols, and configurations.
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies such as V-model, agile/scrum, and CI/CD.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD integration.
  • In-depth knowledge of the medical device software development lifecycle and FDA regulations.
  • Experience in the development or testing of Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).
