The COMET contract at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida is focused on the management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations. This role is crucial in supporting the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs. As a System Software Test Engineer, you will play a key role in creating and executing test campaigns for newly developed software. Your understanding of system architecture will be essential for the design and performance of system-level test events. You will work closely with various teams to support the verification of the Launch Control Subsystem (LCS) System Software, ensuring that all system-level requirements are met. This position requires a quick learner who can work independently and collaboratively within a team, contributing to a history of superior performance in a challenging and rewarding environment. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to participate in training sessions, design panels, and technical assessments to deepen your understanding of LCS and its performance testing methods. You will also engage in process improvements and contribute to presentations and group discussions within the Test Engineering department.
