About the position

Aptiv Corporation is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join their team in Troy, MI. The role involves executing software integration and requirement test cases on builds/releases developed by the development teams. The engineer will ensure the correct execution of test cases within the test framework, address any test breaks, and support the integration of test cases into the framework. The position requires collaboration with development teams and the Build and Integration Engineer to ensure successful software testing and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Execute software integration test cases and software requirement test cases on builds/releases.
• Ensure correct compilation and execution of test cases within the test framework.
• Address test breaks to development teams and external suppliers.
• Support development teams with integration of their test cases into the test framework.
• Report software test results executed within the Continuous Integration (CI) tool chain.
• Ensure that failed test cases are fixed.
• Extend software test cases to ensure full coverage by adding additional scenarios for test execution on software releases.
• Select and customize automation test frameworks for projects/platforms/programs.
• Integrate test frameworks within the project CI toolchain with the help of Build and Integration Engineer/Core CI Team.
• Responsible for the running test environment.
• Support the Build and Integration Engineer on software builds/releases and corresponding software tests.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
• 2 years of experience with embedded software.
• 2 years of experience with Python programming.
• 2 years of experience with C or C++ programming language.
• 2 years of experience with Jira.
• Experience in designing and developing automated test frameworks.
