About The Position

SAIC is seeking a qualified Software Test Engineer to support a new US Coast Guard program, AFMS (Air Force Modeling & Simulation). This fully remote position focuses on implementing, integrating, and developing Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training standards for the US Air Force and Department of Defense, ensuring effective support for the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations.

Requirements

• DoD 8570 certification in IAT Level II or above (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, CASP+ CE, CISSP).
• US Citizenship and current Secret Clearance.
• Agile/Scrum experience.
• Master's Degree with 10 years of experience; Bachelor's Degree with 18 years of experience; or 22 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Familiarity with testing tools and diagramming software.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering and testing procedures.
• Good problem-solving skills and high-level technical writing skills.
• Experience with SQL Server/MySQL/MongoDB and AWS Cloud Platform.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of UI testing and test automation tools, including Playwrite.
• Experience in an agile testing environment including Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Experience developing automated test scripts using Java or other programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop automated test scripts to support integration testing requirements.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated scripts using program tools and frameworks.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to reduce repetitive manual testing.
• Create test cases and/or test cards for software validation.
• Prepare defect reports and document test progress.
• Work closely with software developers and quality analysts to resolve issues.
• Create artifacts of test results and maintain clear documentation of executed test plans.
