About the position

The Software Tester position at Glow Networks involves working as a Software Verification/Test Engineer with a focus on the medical device domain. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in software testing, where the engineer will design and implement automated test suites, perform both manual and automated testing, and ensure compliance with medical device quality systems and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated test suites using Tosca, focusing on system, integration, and regression testing.
  • Leverage test automation frameworks to standardize testing across various products and technologies.
  • Utilize tools like Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG for automation.
  • Perform API testing and cross-browser testing using Selenium WebDriver.
  • Conduct performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner.
  • Perform manual functional testing across various platforms and environments.
  • Create and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex testing issues across platforms.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and translate requirements into actionable test cases.
  • Collaborate in an Agile development environment to perform software verification activities, including system, integration, and API testing.
  • Prepare and release technical documents in alignment with the controlled medical device quality system.
  • Ensure adherence to traceability matrix for requirements and test cases.
  • Support the creation and tracking of Software Verification Plans, Protocols, and Schedules.
  • Maintain defect management systems and provide timely updates on test status.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in software verification and testing, including both manual and automated testing.
  • Experience with Tosca (preferred) or other automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium).
  • Strong knowledge of test frameworks and automation mechanisms (e.g., JUnit, TestNG, Tosca Commander, Selenium WebDriver).
  • Experience in software verification for medical device systems, including manual functional testing, load testing, API integration testing, and non-product software validation.
  • Familiarity with medical device compliance standards and quality systems.
  • Proficiency in Model-based testing and risk-based testing methodologies.
  • Understanding of traceability matrix and defect management systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with medical device simulators and custom software testing is a plus.
  • Strong document writing skills with the ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation.
  • Exposure to Agile software development and iterative testing processes.
