GovCIO is currently seeking a Software Tester to join our team in a fully remote capacity within the United States. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software deliverables. As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive test plans and executing thorough testing procedures to validate software performance against specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the development of innovative IT services and solutions that enhance government operations and service delivery to citizens. In this position, you will design, develop, and implement various testing methods and equipment. You will plan and arrange the necessary labor, schedules, and equipment for testing and evaluating products. Your responsibilities will include designing test cases for test plans, creating test scenarios, and compiling data to define required changes. You will also report defects and problems encountered during the testing process, ensuring that all issues are documented and communicated effectively. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will consult with development and requirements teams to coordinate and test applications. You will perform analysis, diagnostics, and preliminary evaluations of products, developing testing procedures that align with best practices. Your work will involve creating test plans, scripts, scenarios, functional tests, regression tests, and deployment tests, ensuring that all testing activities adhere to established processes. Additionally, you will monitor and report on continual test process improvements through various analyses, including failure analysis and throughput analysis. Your contributions will be essential in maintaining high standards of quality and performance in our software products, ultimately supporting GovCIO's mission to transform government IT.
