GovCIO is seeking a Software Tester to join our team in a fully remote capacity within the United States. The primary responsibility of this role is to create comprehensive test plans and thoroughly test software deliverables to ensure they meet specified requirements. The Software Tester will design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment, ensuring that the product performs to specifications. This includes planning and arranging the necessary labor, schedules, and equipment for testing and evaluating the product. The tester will also design test cases for test plans and create test scenarios in which tests are executed. In this role, the Software Tester will compile data, define required changes, and report any defects or problems that arise during the testing process. They will implement and participate in product walkthroughs and may utilize automated testing methods based on the discretion of the hiring manager. Collaboration with the development and requirements teams is essential to coordinate and test applications effectively. The tester will perform analysis, diagnostics, and preliminary evaluations of products, developing testing procedures as needed. The Software Tester will be responsible for developing test plans, scripts, scenarios, functional tests, regression tests, and deployment tests. They will implement testing processes and ensure that all test activities adhere to these processes. Additionally, the tester will produce reports on each test activity and track test metrics, while monitoring for continual test process improvement through various analyses and reporting to management periodically.
