Full-time - Entry Level
Remote - Buffalo, NY

About the position

Our client is a long-standing, financially stable organization located in the Northtowns of Buffalo, NY. This is a company that many employees aspire to retire from, thanks to its family-centered corporate culture, flexible work/life balance, and outstanding benefits. The ideal working hours for this position start at 7:00 AM, with a commitment to a 40-hour work week. The role offers a hybrid schedule, allowing employees to work onsite for two days and remotely for three days after a 90-day onboarding period. The company also provides a pension plan, generous profit sharing, and a 401(k) with matching contributions. Employees can expect to start with four weeks of paid time off (PTO), five days of sick time, and ten paid holidays. The workspace has been newly renovated and includes sit/stand desks to promote a comfortable working environment. Due to a major, multi-year system conversion, our client has created positions for 2-3 Software Testers to join a small Quality Assurance (QA) team. The primary responsibility of the Software Testers is to ensure that the new system maintains the functionality and workflows that are critical to the business. The testing process is primarily manual and includes user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-implementation testing, with the goal of identifying and creating automated testing where possible. The Software Testers will collaborate with various business units to create effective test plans. After the migration, there will be a steady stream of report requests and changes as product lines evolve. Additionally, Software Testers will assist with Help Desk calls when external users encounter issues accessing the portal, such as password resets or application-related assistance.
