About the position

SAIC is seeking a Software Tester to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. The role involves developing, peer reviewing, and executing test plans and procedures to ensure that software products meet end-user requirements and identify defects. The Software Tester will coordinate activities with various stakeholders, perform verification activities, document test results, and support the analysis of test outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and procedures to ensure product quality.
• Peer review test plans and scripts with the software test lead and engineers.
• Perform verification activities on work products using defined methods and criteria.
• Document and communicate test results in internal tools and reports.
• Support analysis of test results and assist in resolving open issues.
• Devise improvements to testing procedures and processes.
• Create daily test metrics and reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with two or more years of experience, or a Master's degree with no experience required.
• 2+ years of developer/automation experience required.
• Experience executing manual and automated test procedures to identify and resolve defects.
• Familiarity with developing test plans and test cases.
• Strong communication skills to convey test findings to the SW Test Lead and other engineers.
