About the position

Staffmark Workforce Solutions offers this exciting contract opportunity at a global leader in electronics, mobile devices and appliances located in Plano, TX. The main responsibilities of a Software Tester include conducting thorough testing to ensure software meets quality standards, identifying bugs, and validating performance. Critical thinking helps anticipate issues and design effective tests, while attention to detail ensures accuracy. Strong communication skills are essential for reporting findings and collaborating with developers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with other team members within the department.
  • Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Conduct testing as per the set standards and procedures.
  • Ensure that the testing is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures.
  • Analyze the testing results and submit the report to the development team.
  • Create test designs, processes, cases and test-product documentation.
  • Submit testing results as per procedures.
  • Register detected bugs/issues and follow up with fix regressions.
  • Perform software testing in all phases of the design-develop-test-release-maintain software life cycle.
  • Follow urgent requests with direction.
  • Communicate with R&D actively to troubleshoot issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; Preference given to candidates who have completed coursework in Data Analysis, demonstrating strong analytical skills applicable to this role.
  • 0-3 years of experience in project management.
  • Korean bilingual (Requires communication with Korea).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical acumen with proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a critical thinking approach.
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, work independently as well as working on a team.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines.
  • Fluently read, write and speak English/Korean (required).
