About the position

SAIC is seeking a mission oriented Software Tester to be responsible for testing unique and niche mobile and communication products in support of the customer mission. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Coordinate and work with the customer requirement stakeholders to turn field requests for the team's products into achievable system requirements that meet the field user's needs, adhere to security guidelines, and are compatible with internal infrastructure. Conduct manual functional testing throughout the various development sprints, as well as the final Beta version of the product, to ensure product features and requirements are met in terms of performance, functionality, scalability, and end-to-end processing. Create test plan and test procedure documentation. Document software defects found and work with software development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Lead product demos to various customers to include management, requirements stakeholders, analysis groups, and field operational stakeholders. Assist software development team with the creation of other needed product documentation. Provide support and training to the external, independent test team and security analysis team as well as provide support for integration, field, and operational testing activities conducted with customer test representatives. This is to ensure that the developed and delivered products adhere to the security guidelines and interface end-to-end with external client systems and infrastructure with no issues.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing (specifically manual testing).
  • Experience working with stakeholders on developing and shaping product requirements.
  • Solid understanding of Agile development.
  • Capable of operating and testing complicated systems.
  • Able to research and learn new technical concepts under own initiative.
  • Capable of testing multiple products simultaneously.
  • Experience with developing test plans and test procedures.
  • Capable of troubleshooting issues encountered while testing.
  • Experience with performing product demos to stakeholders.
