About the position

The Software Tester position at Digital Infuzion involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products through rigorous testing principles and automation. The role is integral to the Software Engineering Services team, focusing on both functional and non-functional testing to support the healthcare industry. The position allows for hybrid work, combining remote work with occasional office collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze functional and non-functional requirements and create test cases
  • Develop test scripts that adhere to computer system validation (CSV) SOPs
  • Execute test cases to ensure software meets functional and non-functional requirements
  • Conduct test case reviews and provide support to the testing team
  • Record defects in an application life cycle management software and provide status updates to the stakeholders
  • Provide level of effort estimates for testing activities
  • Develop Operational and Performance Qualification protocols, and assist with preparation of CSV deliverables as needed
  • Maintain requirements traceability
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure test results are understood
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and anticipated issues
  • Identify the testable requirements and prepare the test strategy for each of the testing types identified
  • Perform production verification after software installation and updates
  • Support customer operations by testing and reproducing customer-reported issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or a suitable combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in web application testing
  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium
  • Experience in developing test scripts
  • Basic knowledge in SQL queries
  • Experience using tools such as Microsoft Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Word, and Excel
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Must be a self-starter/self-directed member of the team
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
