About the position

The Software Quality Analyst/Tester position is a contract role focused on ensuring the quality and compliance of software systems within a regulated environment. The role involves collaborating with various teams to establish quality expectations, authoring and reviewing validation documentation, and executing software testing methodologies to maintain compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the quality system elements necessary to achieve and maintain compliance are established and controlled.
• Author, review and/or approve validation plans, protocols, and reports.
• Collaborate with appropriate teams to establish quality expectations related to software quality assurance and computer system validation.
• Create and execute test cases, scenarios, scripts, and procedures across multiple systems and disciplines.
• Document defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to the project team.
• Document test procedures using test management tools to ensure repeatability and compliance with business processes.
• Review technical documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, completeness, and to mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for software quality assurance.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
• Experience with ALM software.
• Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM).
• Experience in Infrastructure, Information Security, and/or ERP, CRM, PLM areas.
• Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries is beneficial.
• ITIL or QA certifications are desired.
