About the position

The Software Tester position at Booz Allen involves working within a dynamic software development team focused on building and launching enterprise web-based systems in the Cybersecurity domain. The tester will troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with developers to enhance system capabilities, contributing to significant improvements in Cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly understand and document complex system business rules and functionalities.
• Design test cases and document functionality for new features.
• Create and maintain regression test scripts.
• Conduct functional testing of a large enterprise web-based application interface and REST API.
• Troubleshoot and analyze production bugs and user-reported issues.
• Collaborate with developers to resolve issues and enhance system capabilities.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working on software development teams.
• 2+ years of experience with testing complex web application UIs and APIs.
• 2+ years of experience documenting test cases and scripts.
• Experience with programming and scripting languages such as Python, C#, Java, Go, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Secret clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with test automation and CI/CD, including Selenium or Jenkins.
• Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ATO processes, including NIST SP 800-53.
• Familiarity with GRC tools such as eMASS, Archer, SNOW, or Xacta.
• Experience with web application development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, Java, Go, or SQL.
• Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Top Secret clearance.
• Master's degree.
• DoD 8570 IAT II Certification, including Security+ or CISSP.
