About the position

The Software Tester position involves working within the telecommunications sector, focusing on mobile wireless technologies. The role requires effective problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet project goals. The position is a backfill for a 12-month term with the possibility of extension, and it is based in Plano, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks and objectives that are clearly defined and guided by a supervisor.
• Work independently and in a team environment to achieve personal and team goals.
• Complete assignments within established time frames.
• Execute test plans, report results, and conduct regression tests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 0-3 years of experience in the wireless industry, preferably in Wireless Technology Mobile QA.
• Experience in Smartphone Software/Hardware QA life cycle, including test plans and test execution.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of wireless technologies such as GSM, CDMA, WCDMA, LTE, and 5G.
• Basic understanding of IMS features including VoLTE, VoWiFi, and OTA signaling messages.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with effective communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with RF network engineering.
• Strong interdepartmental communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
