In your new role as a cyber security professional, you will protect our customer's most sensitive data and complex systems from all forms of threats including cyber-attacks, insider threats, rogue network devices, and malicious software and applications. You will work with a team of like-minded professionals to share and collaborate upon your ideas to improve the cybersecurity infrastructure, architecture, and configuration deployments. Your ideas and contributions will matter. This is a contingent position based upon customer approval.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional and/or integration testing of multiple programs in an IBM mainframe or client/server environment.
  • Support the Internal Revenue Service's (IRS) tax processing pipeline and master file systems.
  • Use IRS or Contractor-developed documentation to construct test cases with predetermined results and test data to verify program functionality and/or interfaces through assigned systems.
  • Review output to determine whether or not the test results fulfill the established requirements, and if necessary, notify the responsible programmers, both verbally and in writing, of errors, omissions, and inconsistencies in the programs and/or documentation.
  • Coordinate test activities with project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate work assignments to ensure timely and accurate completion of testing.
  • Provide inputs on the required testing level of effort for Unified Work Requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant IT and software testing experience; OR a Master's degree or PhD may be considered in with 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain IRS Moderate Risk Background Investigation (MBI) Public Trust.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
