About the position

SimVentions is seeking a Software User-Interface Tester to join our team, providing full-spectrum test support including system, integration, unit, end-to-end, contract, security, and performance testing. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in automated testing and will work primarily on-site at a government facility in Dahlgren, Virginia, with some potential for telework. This role is crucial for ensuring the functionality and reliability of software systems, contributing to the development of testing criteria, and troubleshooting automated tests.

Responsibilities

• Work at a Government site 3-5 days per week
• Write automated test scripts to assess functionality within the system User Interface (UI)
• Write and execute thorough test cases and procedures
• Contribute to work item development (especially testing criteria)
• Troubleshoot failed automated tests
• Support feature and validation testing across multiple domains
• Learn and utilize project technologies for in-depth error root cause analysis (e.g. RMQ)

Requirements

• United States Citizenship is required
• Sec+ certification or commitment to get Sec+ within six-months of hire
• Experience with automated UI test tools (TestCafé Studio, Selenium, Cucumber etc.)
• Ability to understand JavaScript
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar work management and software development tools (e.g, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Confluence)

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in writing JavaScript
• Knowledge of C#, Ruby, SQL
• A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
