About the position

CACI is seeking a Software Tester for our Mastodon Design team in Rochester, NY! We specialize in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers’ requirements. We focus on offering devices that can be fielded immediately to meet the mission needs that lie directly ahead. Size, weight, power, and packaging are of paramount importance in everything we design and build. Our expertise allows us to rapidly provide these solutions in specialized electronic/mechanical design, embedded & application-level software, reverse engineering & protocol analysis, and RF signals exploitation and communications systems.

Responsibilities

  • Verification and validation of software and hardware products.
  • Conduct PATs for TLS systems.
  • Implement and conduct test and evaluation procedures.
  • Identify system and software problems, record defects and report the results of testing.
  • Execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for integration, functional, regression and user acceptance testing.
  • Update existing tests while working with developers testing new software as it is completed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years related work experience in software testing with a focus on regression testing and test development.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain minimally a Secret clearance (US Citizenship required).
  • Experience with functional testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Ability to create test plans, test procedures, and problem reports.
  • Organized and capable of updating test plans and cases based on problem reports and customer feedback.
  • Experience using Jira, Xray, Confluence, and Testrail.
  • Comfortable working with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Self-starter who likes working in a team environment.
  • Solid interpersonal as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • A strong understanding of RF fundamentals.
  • Former EW/SIGINT system operator.
  • Familiarity with RF tactical communication systems, applications, and wireless networking.
