The Software Tester will support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) by performing system and software testing and installation activities on a collaborative Agile Scrum development team. Qualified candidates will apply advanced training and experience to the testing of complex systems and software to ensure quality software deliverables.

Responsibilities

Designing test plans and procedures to verify requirements
Executing test procedures against the code baseline
Preparing test reports detailing results of testing
Updating tracking software with the results of testing
Work closely with users to verify requirements and software acceptance
Prepare and generate technical documentation pertinent to the software testing
May be required to perform activities within NASIC and adhere to security requirements for access to classified information

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree
U.S Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
3+ years of experience performing software development and/or testing
Experience developing test plans, procedures, and writing test reports.
Experience with version control tools (ex. GIT, Subversion).
Experience with bug reporting/tracking tools (ex. JIRA)

Nice-to-haves

Active TS/SCI
Experience working under Agile development methodologies
Experience writing test utilities using programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++
Experience with automated test tools (ex. TestComplete, Google Test, QF-Test)
Foundation Certification in Software Testing, International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB) or American Software Testing Qualification Board (ASTQB)
