About the position

Trillium Professional is seeking a skilled Software Tester Contractor to join their team in Glen Allen. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in both manual and automated testing, playing a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products. Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
• Conduct manual and automated testing across various software applications and platforms.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues using issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment on testing objectives.
• Perform regression testing to verify that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
• Analyze test results, provide feedback, and suggest improvements for software quality and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of the software development process.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in testing tools and methodologies.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on both manual and automated testing.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber) is a plus.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for writing automated test scripts is a plus.
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus.
