About the position
The Soils Technician position at Pacific Geotechnical Engineers, Inc. (PGE) involves assisting in geotechnical site investigations, performing laboratory soils testing, and monitoring construction activities. Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Engineer with geotechnical site investigation
- Perform laboratory soils testing
- Perform construction monitoring
- Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned
Requirements
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good at mathematics and working with tools
- Physically fit and able to lift bags of soil weighing 60 pounds
- Willingness and able to travel
- Valid driver's license
- United States citizenship or permanent residency status
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in soil testing and construction (2 years preferred)
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
