About the position

The Solar Consultant position is focused on generating sales through canvassing and in-home presentations, primarily targeting homeowners interested in transitioning to solar energy. The role emphasizes personal and professional growth, with a clear path for advancement into leadership positions based on performance. The company seeks motivated individuals who are willing to engage in door-to-door sales and develop effective self-generated sales strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective self-generated sales strategies, leads, and appointments with potential customers.
  • Provide an industry-leading customer sales experience from initial contact through installation and after the customer's system is turned on.
  • Conduct in-home sales presentations for potential customers and evaluate customers' knowledge and needs, building productive long-lasting relationships.
  • Handle the pipeline of activity from prospect to install by following up with all leads and in-home consultations.
  • Accurately disposition and report on outcomes via our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
  • Meet minimum required sales targets as set by sales leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience in canvassing or door-to-door sales.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Salesforce.
  • Previous sales experience in the solar industry.
