This role is designed for both entry-level and experienced candidates who are passionate about innovation and delivering exceptional service to our customers. In this position, you will engage directly with homeowners to introduce them to our solar energy solutions. You will work closely with a team that meets daily to strategize and utilize the latest technology to identify prospective customers in residential neighborhoods. Your primary responsibility will be to generate qualified leads of homeowners interested in solar energy systems, providing them with valuable product knowledge and setting up informational appointments. This role is not just about sales; it is about building relationships and helping customers understand the benefits of solar energy. The Solar Marketing and Sales Representative position is a personal-development program that typically lasts six months, serving as a stepping stone to higher-level sales positions within the company. Top performers in this program can earn over $200,000 per year, and successful candidates will have opportunities to advance into management, recruiting, inside sales, field sales, and internal support roles. Responsibilities

  • Generate qualified leads of homeowners interested in residential solar energy systems
  • Serve as a consultant and provide useful product knowledge to qualifying homeowners
  • Acquire, retain and constantly develop industry knowledge
  • Meet and exceed lead generation goals
  • Work closely with a team that meets daily to strategize and utilize technology for scouting residential neighborhoods for prospective customers
  • Introduce prospective customers to Sunrun and work with them to set up informational appointments

Requirements

  • 1+ years of sales, customer service and/or consulting experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Self-driven and highly motivated
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and quotas
  • Flexibility to work weekend and evening hours
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask appropriately
  • Reliable transportation
  • Clean DMV record (for certain opportunities)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Cell phone with data and internet access
  • Applicants must be 18 years old or older
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus
