About the position

As a Solar Sales Associate, you will be at the forefront of lead generation and client acquisition, helping homeowners transition from expensive, dirty power to clean solar energy. Your role will involve direct homeowner lead generation through various methods including cold calling, remote appointment setting, door-to-door outreach, and closing high-ticket contracts ranging from $20,000 to $100,000. In this position, you will utilize various communication forms such as calls, emails, and texts to assess the validity and potential of leads. You will represent 1st Solar with professionalism and learn to use our CRM and other essential tools. Becoming a proficient solar professional is key, as you will need to understand all aspects of our products to effectively close deals. The sales process can take anywhere from two weeks to two months, and you will be expected to close deals once you are ready. This role offers uncapped commission-based sales, with average commissions ranging from $4,000 to $6,000 per sale. While our standard is four sales per month, volume bonuses are available, and a six-figure annual income is expected, though not guaranteed. As a 1099 contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule and work towards your personal and income goals. We are looking for motivated and ambitious individuals who are ready to take on the challenge of door-to-door sales and create their own base of qualified customers. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of door-to-door or sales experience.
  • Experience in selling solar products is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality in work responsibilities.
  • Integrity and ethical behavior in upholding organizational values.
  • Demonstrated persistence and ability to overcome obstacles.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in solar sales (1 year preferred).
  • General sales experience (1 year preferred).
