About the position

The Solar Consultant position is focused on promoting the adoption of solar energy solutions by identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with customers. This role requires a strong background in sales, particularly in technical sales related to energy products, and a passion for sustainability. The consultant will provide technical guidance on solar energy systems and work closely with customers to assess their energy needs and recommend suitable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct door-to-door sales and outreach to potential customers to promote solar energy solutions.
  • Utilize Salesforce to manage leads, track customer interactions, and maintain a high level of sales performance.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of solar energy systems and their applications.
  • Provide technical guidance to customers, addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Work with customers to assess their energy needs and identify the most suitable solar energy solutions.
  • Collaborate with the installation team to ensure a seamless process from sales to installation.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory requirements, and competitor activity.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the energy or sustainability sectors.
  • Strong background in technical sales, with a focus on energy-related products or services.
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM software to manage sales pipelines.
  • Experience with solar sales or energy sales is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.

Nice-to-haves

  • Multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers who speak different languages.
  • Experience with door-to-door sales or lead generation and outreach.
