About the position

G3 Solar is seeking motivated Solar Sales Closers to join our rapidly growing team in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about renewable energy and eager to help families achieve financial freedom through utility cost savings. As a Solar Sales Closer, you will be responsible for traveling to scheduled appointments to educate prospective customers about the benefits of solar energy and guide them through the solar installation process. We provide all necessary leads, training, and tools to ensure your success in this role. Your positive attitude and commitment to excellence are essential as you engage with clients and help them make informed decisions about their energy needs. In this position, you will attend 2-3 weekly sales training sessions and participate in both office and company-wide competitions to enhance your skills and performance. You will be expected to manage an organized calendar, attend scheduled appointments, and provide excellent customer service. The role requires flexibility, as you will need to accommodate evening and weekend appointments to meet the needs of homeowners who are often available after traditional working hours. Responsibilities

  • Travel to scheduled solar consultations to educate clients about renewable energy.
  • Qualify and close homeowners that meet the appropriate criteria.
  • Meet individual and team sales goals.
  • Manage an organized calendar and attend scheduled appointments set by G3.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Self-generate business in addition to company-provided leads, which is encouraged but not required.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of field sales experience and hitting set sales metrics (closing % & attrition rate).
  • Ability to handle mature conversations with customers, operations team, and other employees respectfully.
  • Must have access to a vehicle and smartphone at all times (iPad/Table is encouraged).
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and a problem solver.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales, particularly in the renewable energy sector.
  • Familiarity with solar energy products and services.
