About the position

As a Solar Energy Consultant, you will provide potential customers with expertise and education on a variety of solar solutions, helping homeowners to become smart energy consumers. This full-time role offers competitive benefits, a base salary plus uncapped commission, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business by working an assigned territory, qualifying customer eligibility for rooftop solar and scheduling appointments for interested customers to meet with a solar expert.
• Use a consultative selling approach to increase customer's awareness of solar options and competitive advantages over other solar providers.
• Provide potential customers with program details and answer questions or concerns.
• Utilize satellite imaging platforms such as Project Sunroof, Google Earth, and Google Maps (Satellite).
• Assure quality and accuracy of solar eligibility qualifications and ensure customers attend scheduled appointments.
• Represent the company professionally and ensure that potential customers have an exceptional experience.
• Keep detailed records of sales activity via CRM technology on a company provided iPad.
• Effectively manage appointments and plan targeted residential customers.
• Develop collaborative working relationships with other sales representatives and teams across the solar organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's license with a good driving record and reliable personal vehicle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly motivated to sell with a desire to succeed.
• Understanding and comfortable using technology solutions (iPad, CRM, Calendly, etc.).
• Customer focused and results oriented.
• Strong time management skills.
• Professional demeanor and attire.
