About the position

Solar Optimum, Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced Solar Energy Consultant to join our elite team of sales professionals in Florida. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a well-known and successful organization that has been recognized as Panasonic's National Installer of the Year for four consecutive years. The ideal candidate will be highly competitive, self-driven, and passionate about the solar industry. As a Solar Energy Consultant, you will be responsible for achieving minimum monthly sales quotas, conducting consultations for solar and battery solutions, and managing a pipeline of sales generated from both company-provided leads and self-sourced opportunities. In this role, you will evaluate customer needs and build long-lasting relationships while providing an industry-leading customer sales experience from the initial contact through installation and beyond. You will also be expected to attend sales meetings, events, and training sessions to stay updated on the latest developments in the company and the solar industry. Maintaining and expanding your customer database within your assigned sales territory is crucial, as is embodying the company's vision, mission, and values. We believe in having fun while playing on a winning team and earning a good living. The position requires a proven track record in field sales, particularly in the solar sector, and a strong interest in renewable energy solutions. You will need to demonstrate excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities. Comfort with technology, including CRM systems like Salesforce and the Microsoft Office Suite, is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Achieving minimum monthly sales quotas
  • Conducting solar and battery consultations generated from company-provided qualified appointments
  • Sourcing and developing self-generated leads and appointments
  • Qualifying prospects and managing pipeline and sales of Solar Optimum products and services
  • Evaluating and solving for customer's needs and building productive long-lasting relationships
  • Providing an industry-leading customer sales experience from initial contact through installation and after the customer's system is turned on
  • Attending sales meetings, sales events, trainings, and industry events to keep abreast of the latest company and industry developments
  • Creating, maintaining, and expanding customer database within your assigned sales territory
  • Living and leading the company's vision, mission and values
  • Having fun, playing on a winning team and earning a good living

Requirements

  • CSLB License (or application pending)
  • Valid CA driver's license
  • Proven track record of field sales experience and success
  • Previous Solar experience and strong interest in the solar industry
  • Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence
