About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Energy Consultant to join our team at Greener Planet. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales of our solar products to both residential and commercial customers. This role involves building and maintaining strong customer relationships while meeting and exceeding sales targets. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of sales success, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the solar industry. In this position, you will prospect and generate new leads for solar products and services, conducting both in-person and virtual consultations with potential customers to assess their solar needs and provide tailored solutions. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty. Your ability to prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentations will be crucial in negotiating sales contracts and agreements with customers. Regular sales reporting and updates to management will be part of your responsibilities, as well as staying informed about industry trends and changes in solar technology and policy. This is a full-time position with a commission-based pay structure, offering a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $300,000 per year. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with weekend availability as needed. The role is hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote work and in-office presence in Beltsville, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new leads for solar products and services

Requirements

  • Proven track record of sales success
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of the solar industry
  • Customer service experience (1 year preferred)
  • Ability to communicate in English (required)
  • Spanish language skills (preferred)
