About the position

The Solar Energy Consultant at Sol-Up is a key role focused on driving sales and educating clients about the benefits of solar energy. This position involves generating leads, meeting with potential customers, and closing sales to facilitate the transition to renewable energy solutions. The consultant will leverage the company's extensive resources and training to provide exceptional service and support to homeowners and businesses, contributing to the growth of the solar energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively prospect new sales leads and opportunities through face-to-face and door-to-door interactions.
  • Meet with prospective clients in the field to close deals with homeowners by presenting products optimized according to Sol-Up sales strategies.
  • Replicate sales strategies, approaches, scripts, and methods to ensure a consistent client experience.
  • Ensure each prospective client has a positive experience with Sol-Up.
  • Attend and complete tasks assigned by executive leadership.
  • Meet targets set by Operations / Sales Manager.
  • Complete daily reports and responsibilities by the end of each day.
  • Use designated applications to manage various aspects of the job.
  • Demonstrate a pleasant and professional disposition with each prospect, client, and employee.
  • Properly explain products and services to prospective customers or connect them with a teammate who can.
  • Generate leads and follow up with prospects through tools and technologies.
  • Overcome concerns and challenges to close deals.
  • Follow up on pipeline and channel sales opportunities.
  • Generate additional revenue through networking and referrals.
  • Identify and assist homeowners in qualifying for clean energy.
  • Schedule homeowners for free solar consultations.
  • Represent Sol-Up with professionalism, integrity, and passion.
  • Follow quality, safety, and workplace behavior standards.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Observe all laws and regulations while conducting business.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of proven sales experience with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and self-discipline.
  • Ability to build and maintain rapport with consumers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to create buy-in from clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and respond quickly while maintaining strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in using software and technology tools for daily functions.
  • A current, valid driver's license with an acceptable record and reliable transportation.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
