About the position

Solar Optimum, recognized as Panasonic's National Installer of the Year for three consecutive years, is seeking a motivated and experienced Solar Energy Consultant to join our elite sales team. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals who are competitive and self-driven, aiming to contribute to a well-established and successful organization. As a Solar Energy Consultant, you will play a crucial role in promoting our solar and battery solutions, ensuring that customers receive an exceptional sales experience from the initial consultation through to installation and beyond. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving minimum monthly sales quotas and conducting consultations based on company-generated qualified appointments. You will also be expected to source and develop self-generated leads, qualify prospects, and manage your sales pipeline effectively. Building long-lasting relationships with customers is essential, as is evaluating their needs and providing tailored solutions. You will attend various sales meetings, events, and training sessions to stay updated on the latest developments in the company and the solar industry. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining and expanding a customer database within your assigned sales territory, embodying the company's vision, mission, and values, and contributing to a positive team environment. Responsibilities

  • Achieving minimum monthly sales quotas
  • Conducting solar and battery consultations generated from company-provided qualified appointments
  • Sourcing and developing self-generated leads and appointments
  • Qualifying prospects and managing pipeline and sales of Solar Optimum products and services
  • Evaluating and solving for customer needs and building productive long-lasting relationships
  • Providing an industry-leading customer sales experience from initial contact through installation and after the customer's system is turned on
  • Attending sales meetings, sales events, trainings, and industry events to keep abreast of the latest company and industry developments
  • Creating, maintaining, and expanding customer database within your assigned sales territory
  • Living and leading the company's vision, mission and values
  • Having fun, playing on a winning team and earning a good living

Requirements

  • CSLB License (or application pending)
  • Proven track record of field sales experience and success
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence
  • Highly organized individual
  • Creative problem solver
  • Effective Time Management/Prioritization
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and ability to build and cultivate relationships
  • Strong interest in the solar industry
  • Comfort and confidence with computer hardware and software technologies utilized by salespeople to make and close the sale, including but not limited to: laptop, cell phone, Salesforce.com or similar CRM experience and MS office
  • Salesforce experience required
