About the position

The Installer II is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on various surfaces, including rooftops and ground mounts. This role involves a range of daily activities such as measuring, cutting, drilling, performing minor electrical work, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. The Installer II will also provide guidance to junior installers and may communicate directly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading company vehicle with project materials
• Loading and unloading materials to and from the roof/structure being installed on
• Assembling all roof components in an efficient and safe manner
• Performing electrical work as instructed by the crew lead, both independently and under direct supervision
• Installing projects adhering to Freedom Forever plan sets
• Flashing penetrations as needed to ensure project quality
• Providing onsite guidance and recommendations to Installer I's
• Ensuring all work is performed in strict compliance with Freedom Forever policies and applicable codes
• Strictly following all Freedom Forever safety regulations and policies
• Following all direction given by senior members of the crew
• Providing recommendations for efficiency and compliance gains through appropriate channels
• Ensuring customer satisfaction
• Communicating directly with the end user as required
• Driving a Freedom Forever vehicle as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• 6 months to 1 year of PV installation experience (Preferred)
• Fundamental understanding of all PV products installed by Freedom Forever
• Basic understanding of building standards and applicable codes
• Ability to communicate with others professionally and concisely
• Compliant installation of conduit (EMT, RMC, IMC, LFMC and FMC)
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Completion of all assigned Freedom Forever training modules and documentation by the designated due date
• Optional training (Freedom Forever and external party) may be completed at the employee's discretion outside of business hours
