About the position
The Solar Landscaping and Maintenance position at Origis Energy involves managing vegetation at solar power plants, ensuring the upkeep of landscaping machinery, and maintaining documentation related to work orders and inventory. This role is crucial for the daily operations of solar farms and may include training as a Solar Technician.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the vegetation control at Solar Power Plant
- Solid understanding of working tractors and associated landscaping machinery
- Knowledgeable of maintenance requirements and capable of maintaining the equipment
- Responsible for documentation including work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules
- Maintains inventory control of assigned equipment to ensure adequate stock levels
- Maintain high quality control on provided tools, vehicles, and materials
- Employment may require working on weekends and holidays
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including kneel, crawl, lifting, pushing, pulling up to 80 pounds
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Ability to work with minimal or no supervision
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions (heat/cold uneven terrain)
- Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands to dexterously maneuver small parts such as wires, screws, and various components within mechanical equipment.
