About the position

The Solar Project Engineer at Wunder plays a crucial role in the in-house development engineering team, focusing on designing and reviewing solar systems for commercial clients. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders, conducting site visits, and utilizing advanced software tools to ensure efficient project execution. The engineer will contribute to the growth of solar energy deployment, helping to address the energy crisis while supporting the company's mission of sustainability and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Create and review designs and production models for solar systems.
  • Interface with systems like Helioscope, PVSyst, and AutoCAD.
  • Conduct site visits to gather design information.
  • Monitor progress on design reviews and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with utilities, subcontractors, and clients on interconnection processes.
  • Standardize processes in the sub-megawatt commercial and industrial market.

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of experience designing solar systems or relevant internship experience.
  • Strong technical background in Electrical Engineering or Solar Development.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or eagerness to learn drafting software.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in project management or collaboration with EPC partners.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy policies and regulations.
