About the position

The Solar Sales Consultant at Velaz Solar is responsible for promoting solar energy solutions to residential and commercial customers. This role involves educating potential clients about the benefits of solar energy, generating leads, and closing sales contracts. The consultant will work closely with the sales team to exceed sales targets while providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and engage potential customers through door-to-door outreach, referrals, networking, and industry events.
• Communicate the financial and environmental advantages of solar energy, guiding clients through available incentives, tax credits, and rebates.
• Present personalized solar proposals, handle questions or concerns, and negotiate favorable terms to close contracts.
• Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed individual and team sales targets, sharing innovative strategies and best practices.
• Build strong, long-term client relationships by offering outstanding customer service throughout the sales cycle.

Requirements

• A high school diploma is preferred, but relevant experience is welcome.
• Demonstrated success in sales, ideally within solar energy, renewable energy, or related industries.
• Familiarity with solar energy products, systems, and emerging trends in the renewable energy sector.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively engage, influence, and educate potential customers.
• Proven ability to negotiate terms, overcome objections, and close deals to meet or exceed sales goals.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits, meetings, and customer engagements.
